Jackpine Limited Warranty

​New Computer Systems
  1. New Computer typically have a one-year manufacturer’s warranty. Except for minor upgrades, we cannot work on systems under warranty without voiding the warranty.
  2. We will assist you in contacting the manufacturer if that is appropriate.
  3. We suggest that you keep the box in case a system has to be shipped. We have daily UPS pick up and can ship for you. The only cost is the UPS charge.
  4. Typically, manufacture’s warranties cover defects in materials or manufacture. It does not cover abuse, misuse, or surges on AC, cable, network or telephone lines.
  5. Manufacturer’s warranties do not cover software, data or consequential damages caused by system failure or operator error.  It is always assumed that valuable data is backed up to some other media or location.
  6. Certain components may have a longer warranty. E.g. monitors usually have a three-year warranty.
 
Used or Refurbished Computer Systems
  1. Normally used computer system or components are warrantied for 30 days. A longer warranty should be expressed in writing.
  2. The warranty covers parts and labor but does not cover software.
  3. We guarantee that it works and if it doesn’t, we will fix it, refund you money or apply the purchase price to a different item.
  4. We do not guarantee that it will be suitable for a particular purpose.
  5. We will not refund your money if you decide you don’t like it or that it will not suit your purposes. But we will accept a return and apply the purchase price to a different system.
  6. The warranty does not cover damage caused by abuse, misuse, or surges on AC, cable, network, or telephone lines.
  7. The warranty does not include any data that exists on the system or any consequential damages that are caused by system failure, software failure or operator error. It is always assumed that valuable data is backed up to some other media or location.
